London School of Science & Technology (UK), operating under Fairfield Global Educational Network Private Limited (FGEN), is seeking two experienced Finance Accountants to join its Islamabad Support & Liaison Office. This full-time, on-site role is specifically open to candidates based in Islamabad or Rawalpindi. The working hours are from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The ideal candidates will have between 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of both Pakistani and UK financial environments. This role requires professionals capable of managing complex accounting functions independently, with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and finance operations for both UK and Pakistani entities.
- Process invoices, fee collections, reimbursements, and payroll transactions accurately and timely.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, oversee month-end closing activities, and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare detailed financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support budgeting processes, audits, tax filings, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready financial records at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and UK/international partners to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting mechanisms, and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA/ICAP, ICAEW, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent internationally recognized certification.
- Completion of all professional qualification papers.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance roles.
- Strong practical knowledge of both Pakistani and UK accounting standards and practices.
- Proven track record of working with UK-based or international clients and organizations.
- Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, general ledger management, month-end closing, payroll, budgeting, audit, and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis, and financial dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage 50, Sage 200, and Xero; familiarity with Odoo is an advantage.
- Excellent professional English communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities, meet deadlines, and take full ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Previous experience in the education or academic sector is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
- Candidates holding only general business or commerce degrees such as BBA, MBA, or M.Com without the specified professional accounting qualifications will not meet the eligibility criteria for this role.
