Job Title: Finance Executive

The Finance Executive will manage the day-to-day financial and accounting functions of the organization. This includes handling accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, vendor payments, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial reporting. The role demands accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant tax regulations. Coordination with Sales, Projects, and Procurement teams is essential to support project-based billing and overall financial management within the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records.
- Process daily financial transactions such as receipts, payments, invoices, expenses, and journal entries.
- Prepare and issue invoices for IT products, software, services, projects, and maintenance contracts.
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) records efficiently.
- Verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documents before processing payments.
- Prepare payment requests and coordinate approvals with management.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain records of petty cash, employee expenses, advances, and reimbursements.
- Track project-related financial transactions and collaborate with Project, Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams.
- Assist in monitoring project costs, revenue, profitability, and outstanding receivables.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Organize and maintain financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, contracts, and payment records.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor cash flow and provide relevant data to management for decision-making.
- Support payroll-related financial processing and maintain employee salary records as needed.
- Maintain tax records, including withholding taxes and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and customers as required.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and approval authorities.
- Identify and report financial discrepancies or unusual transactions to the Finance Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial and business information.
- Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.

IT Industry–Specific Responsibilities
- Manage billing and collections for software development, IT services, cloud services, managed services, support contracts, and maintenance agreements.
- Track recurring revenue streams such as subscriptions, licenses, AMC/support contracts, and managed services.
- Coordinate with Sales and Project teams on customer contracts, milestones, deliverables, and billing schedules.
- Verify project milestone completion before issuing milestone-based invoices.
- Maintain financial records for software, hardware, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and system integration projects.
- Monitor vendor payments related to technology procurement including hardware, software licenses, and cloud services.
- Assist management in analyzing project-wise profitability and cost performance.
- Maintain proper documentation for local and international IT transactions where applicable.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficient in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Skilled in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.

Core Purpose of the Role
To ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations while maintaining strong financial controls. The role supports business decision-making and ensures proper financial management of the organization’s IT products, projects, services, and operations.

Compensation
Monthly salary range: Rs50,000 – Rs80,000
