Finance Executive

The Finance Executive will play a critical role in supporting the Planning and Treasury Manager by managing cash flow planning, ensuring adequate liquidity, and maintaining strong relationships with banking and financial institutions. This position involves collaborating with various departments to execute both conventional and innovative financing transactions that align with the company’s strategic business objectives. The role requires proactive identification of funding needs, risk management, and implementation of best financial practices to support operational and expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the Annual Business Plan and Rolling Estimate processes by developing funding strategies across short, medium, and long-term horizons, ensuring alignment with the Group Treasury.
- Manage operational and strategic funding requirements, proactively forecasting cash flow to identify potential shortfalls and devising mitigation strategies.
- Identify and rank funding sources based on risk, cost, legal structure, accounting implications, and regulatory constraints.
- Ensure compliance with group debt covenants, review financing agreements in coordination with the legal department, and manage financial risks related to covenants and credit exposure.
- Implement best practices in financial agreements and treasury operations, resolving daily transaction issues to maintain smooth processes.
- Negotiate financing costs and bank charges to ensure value for money, explore cost-effective financing and profitable investment opportunities, and lead negotiations related to cash deposits from distributors.
- Develop customized financial solutions in partnership with banks to enhance key performance indicators and improve payment processes for vendors, distributors, key accounts, and retail clients.
- Verify bank guarantees received from distributors in accordance with updated policies.
- Manage import financing requirements, including letters of credit, banking contracts, and foreign currency transactions.
- Liaise with the State Bank of Pakistan to obtain necessary approvals and oversee international and domestic banking transactions.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends such as inflation, monetary and fiscal policies, and foreign currency pricing to assess their impact on business and develop appropriate mitigation strategies, including hedging and money market loans.
- Support financial processes related to FX-denominated equity or loans, including capital increases, foreign currency conversions, dividend disbursement analysis, and documentation.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly group treasury reports, validate interest accruals and bank charges for compliance during financial closing.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate treasury audits.
- Lead and mentor Finance Analysts, supporting their development plans, tracking performance, and preparing successors for key roles.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA or ACCA are preferred.
- Treasury experience of 3-5 years, ideally within a manufacturing company.
- Total professional experience of 4-6 years, with 2-4 years specifically in treasury or finance-related functions.
