This role is designed for a seasoned finance professional to lead the financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control functions within a dynamic organization operating in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Energy, or EPC sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX and OPEX monitoring, treasury operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business decisions, optimize financial performance, and maintain strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Prepare and monitor CAPEX and OPEX budgets, conducting detailed budget-versus-actual and variance analyses. Develop financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and management dashboards. Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support business and investment decisions.

Financial Reporting & Accounting
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting activities. Ensure accurate preparation of Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, and supporting schedules. Maintain compliance with IFRS, accounting policies, and statutory requirements. Manage the chart of accounts and ensure proper accounting treatment for project and operational expenditures. Review reconciliations, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and fixed assets.

Project & CAPEX Financial Management
Monitor financial performance of refinery, Oil & Gas, EPC, and other capital projects. Maintain detailed project-wise cost reports, commitments, actual expenditures, and forecast-at-completion. Track major equipment, construction, procurement, and engineering expenditures against approved budgets. Review financial implications of contracts, change orders, variations, and purchase commitments. Support management in evaluating major capital expenditure and investment proposals.

Treasury & Cash-Flow Management
Manage short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow requirements while optimizing working capital and liquidity. Oversee banking operations and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions. Coordinate funded and non-funded banking facilities. Handle Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, import financing, working capital facilities, and other trade finance instruments. Monitor foreign currency requirements and financial exposure related to international procurement and payments.

Taxation, Audit & Compliance
Ensure compliance with income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other statutory requirements. Coordinate with tax advisors, external and internal auditors, and regulatory authorities. Ensure timely completion of statutory and management audits. Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls and approval procedures. Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate controls and mitigation measures.

Business Partnering
Collaborate closely with Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, HR, and Operations teams. Review commercial and financial terms of major contracts and purchase orders. Provide financial advice on costs, profitability, working capital, and project performance. Prepare financial presentations and reports for senior management and Board-level review.

Required Qualifications
CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, or equivalent professional finance qualification is preferred. Candidates with an MBA in Finance or Master’s in Finance may be considered if they have strong relevant experience. A minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive Finance & Accounting experience is required, with preferably 4+ years in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Energy, EPC, or major industrial projects. Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, treasury, banking, audit, and financial reporting is essential. Practical experience handling Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and international supplier payments is necessary. Candidates must have a solid understanding of IFRS and financial controls, along with experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalents. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are also required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience working on CAPEX-intensive or greenfield projects is an advantage. The role offers a competitive monthly salary range from Rs150,000 to Rs300,000. This position requires in-person attendance at the work location.
