We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing processes while ensuring compliance with group directives and timelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed management reports, analyzing variances against budgets and prior periods, and acting as the primary liaison for audit activities. This role demands a proactive approach to internal controls, timely resolution of audit findings, and the ability to provide insightful financial reports to support senior management decision-making. The position also involves identifying opportunities for cost optimization and collaborating closely with various departments and group entities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely completion of monthly financial closings in accordance with group guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management reports, including explanations for variances against budgets and previous periods.
- Oversee the accounting closing process for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
- Serve as the main point of contact for auditors, coordinating their requests and ensuring audits are completed efficiently with minimal adjustments.
- Review and monitor the company’s internal control environment, promptly addressing any identified weaknesses.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports to support senior management in strategic decision-making.
- Recommend cost optimization initiatives to management based on financial analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in ERP system implementation and integration.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Experience in banking relations and financial dealings with banks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and corporate laws.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-dimensional environment, coordinating with various departments and group entities.
- Familiarity with IFRS 16 and practical experience implementing this accounting standard.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience working with Oracle NetSuite is considered a significant advantage.
