This role involves independently managing the full spectrum of financial operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Customer Invoicing, Payroll Administration, Sales Commission Processing, Collections, ERP transactions, and financial reporting. The position requires ensuring strong financial controls, timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company’s operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer invoicing through the ERP system and monitor Accounts Receivable ageing to follow up on outstanding payments. Coordinate with US customers on collections, payment follow-ups, and disputed invoices. Maintain customer statements of accounts and ensure timely reconciliation. Prepare weekly AR ageing and collection reports, driving improvements in collection efficiency and cash recovery.
- Oversee Accounts Payable by processing and reconciling transactions, maintaining vendor ledgers, and supplier account reconciliations. Monitor payment schedules and outstanding vendor balances. Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on payment-related matters.
- Conduct credit checks and financial due diligence on prospective and existing customers to recommend credit limits. Assess customer payment history, financial strength, trade references, and credit information. Recommend credit limits and payment terms for management approval, monitor customer credit exposure, identify potential bad debt risks, and coordinate with Sales and Management on credit approvals and exceptions.
- Administer payroll and sales commissions by processing and verifying monthly payroll for employees, preparing and maintaining commission reports, ensuring timely disbursement of approved commissions, and maintaining records for audit and management purposes.
- Ensure timely and accurate ERP postings while maintaining accurate customer and vendor records. Generate operational, financial, payroll, commission, and management reports. Support finance reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other departments to resolve transaction-related issues. Provide support to US operations during designated US business hours. Perform additional duties and special assignments as assigned by management to support business operations and organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, ACCA, ICMA, or an equivalent qualification.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within Textile, Garments, Exports, Trading, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience in credit control, payroll administration, commission processing, collections, and financial reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work during US business hours.
