Financial Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and numbers-driven Financial Accountant to join our team in Rawalpindi. This full-time, on-site position requires working night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing audit documentation, and overseeing daily accounting functions. As a vital partner to management, you will ensure accurate fiscal management and support the company’s sustainable growth through diligent financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations end-to-end, maintaining financial integrity through strong internal controls. Monitor and update the general ledger daily, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards. Oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles to maintain healthy cash flow and ensure timely vendor payments. Conduct multi-tier payroll processing, guaranteeing accurate salary calculations and compliance with statutory requirements. Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card transactions, and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

Audit client billing records and vendor invoices against purchase orders and contracts to verify correctness. Identify and resolve payment discrepancies, historical variances, and billing errors promptly. Review employee expense reports for proper cost center allocation and compliance with company policies. Track and analyze key financial performance indicators (KPIs), cash flow statements, and budget variances to support financial decision-making.

Prepare and present accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and balance sheets to management. Develop and maintain advanced MS Excel workbooks, including pivot tables, data models, and lookup functions, to aid in financial forecasting and budgeting. Serve as the primary operational liaison for external tax consultants, auditors, and compliance authorities. Compile comprehensive financial documentation required for annual audits and corporate tax filings. Collaborate with internal department heads to monitor operational expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of corporate experience in ledger management and financial statement preparation. A strong knowledge of corporate tax laws, internal control frameworks, and GAAP/IFRS accounting standards is essential. Proficiency in standard accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Xero is required. Expert-level skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, financial modeling, and advanced formulas, with high analytical accuracy, are necessary.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are important for effective financial reporting and teamwork. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce is required, or active part-qualification in professional bodies such as ACCA, CA, or CIMA.
