Pakistan Digital Authority is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join its team in Islamabad. This role is pivotal in providing timely and accurate financial analysis to support executive management in making informed decisions. The Financial Analyst will contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring, ensuring the effective use of public funds and alignment with the Authority’s objectives and the National Digital Masterplan. This position demands a detail-oriented professional capable of delivering insightful financial reports and supporting financial discipline within a dynamic public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily financial analysis support to executive management, including ad hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and delivering financial insights to guide operational and strategic decisions.
- Analyze budget utilization, expenditures, and financial performance against approved plans, identifying variances, trends, and potential risks.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections by offering analytical inputs, validating data, and reviewing assumptions.
- Prepare periodic management reports, dashboards, and briefing notes that highlight key financial indicators, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate the financial implications of projects, initiatives, procurements, contracts, and policy proposals, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and financial regulations.
- Support cash flow analysis and monitoring to guarantee timely availability of funds and optimal resource allocation.
- Consolidate financial data for internal reviews, audits, and reporting to oversight bodies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and update financial models, databases, and analytical tools to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.
- Coordinate with finance, procurement, and program teams to ensure consistency and reliability of financial data and assumptions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial rules, regulations, ethical standards, and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, or performance analysis.
- Proven experience in preparing analytical reports for senior management and supporting decision-making processes.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budget monitoring, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with public sector financial rules, budgeting processes, and audit requirements is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated professional integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA (Inter), CMA, CPA, or CFA are preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working within public sector organizations, autonomous bodies, regulatory authorities, or donor-funded projects will be considered an advantage.
