- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Canadian GAAP, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support strategic decision-making.
- Process payroll and ensure tax compliance for both Canadian and US operations.
- Control and reconcile inventory to maintain accurate asset records.
- Administer the ERP system by building reports, dashboards, and KPIs, and drive improved system utilization.
- Present financial statements and insights to senior management to inform business strategy.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day financial issues to maintain smooth operations.

Required Qualifications

- Solid working knowledge of Canadian and US payroll processing and tax compliance requirements.
- Proven experience with general ledger reconciliations and preparation of financial statements compliant with Canadian GAAP.
- Comfortable working directly within an ERP system, not only reviewing outputs but also building reports and enhancing system functionality.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and lead a small team effectively.
- A proactive, “roll up your sleeves” attitude, demonstrating willingness to engage in hands-on tasks beyond supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This role offers a unique opportunity to become the financial backbone of a growing organization. You will have real ownership over financial reporting, systems, and people, with direct visibility to senior management. This position is well-suited for someone looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment, combining leadership with practical financial expertise.
