Financial Controller

Zameen.com is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead and manage all aspects of the company’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure strong financial controls, strategic financial planning, and adherence to regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in driving budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support the organization’s business goals. The Financial Controller will also focus on optimizing financial performance, controlling costs, managing risks, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting specifically for construction projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Monitor overall financial performance, cash flow, and project profitability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct variance analysis and cost control measures while providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and effective resource allocation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to track expenses, forecasts, and resource utilization.
- Ensure full compliance with taxation laws, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them proactively.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits and compliance reviews.
- Manage working capital effectively to maintain sufficient liquidity for ongoing projects.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, improve internal processes, and strengthen internal controls.

Required Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CFA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in managerial or leadership roles.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in financial systems, financial modeling, and data analytics.
- Location preference: Lahore.
