Financial Reporting Analyst

Giant Group is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our expanding team at our Lahore office. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of up to 200,000 PKR per month, with working hours from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The position is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, who are looking to contribute to the financial management and governance of a dynamic organization. The role focuses on producing accurate and compliant financial reports, improving reporting processes through automation, and supporting group-wide finance and compliance policies. Strong communication skills and a degree from a reputable university are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly reporting packs and detailed financial analyses.
- Conduct revenue, cost, overhead, and profitability analysis across various Group entities.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses as needed.
- Enhance the quality, consistency, and presentation of financial reports, including automating recurring reports.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of UK VAT, PAYE, and other tax regulations relevant to the Group.
- Organize supporting documentation for HMRC queries and reviews.
- Ensure all reporting and compliance documentation is complete, well-organized, and readily accessible.
- Maintain documentation outlining key finance and tax processes within the Group.
- Support the Finance team with UK tax compliance matters, including VAT and PAYE.
- Prepare monthly governance and compliance packs for review by the Finance Manager.

Required Qualifications
- A completed bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business from a reputable university. An MBA is considered an advantage.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, or FP&A. Experience in the IT services sector is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to produce accounts from ledgers in line with financial accounting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing Board-level working papers and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and highlight unusual movements.
- Working knowledge of UK VAT and PAYE is beneficial; comprehensive UK compliance training will be provided.
- Candidates primarily experienced in external audit or holding senior/managerial roles are not the best fit for this position. ACCA/CA qualification is not required.
