Nelson Paint Industries (Pvt.) Ltd., based in Karachi, is seeking a responsible, alert, and physically fit Fire Fighter to join their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring effective fire prevention, emergency response, and maintaining workplace safety throughout the company premises. This position demands vigilance, quick response, and a strong commitment to safety protocols to protect both personnel and property.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond promptly and efficiently to fire, chemical, and other emergency situations to minimize risk and damage.
- Operate and maintain firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, and pumps, ensuring they are always in good working condition.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections to identify and report potential hazards before they escalate.
- Monitor fire alarm and emergency systems continuously, reporting any faults or malfunctions immediately.
- Assist in organizing and executing fire drills, emergency evacuations, and safety training sessions for employees.
- Ensure all firefighting equipment remains accessible, functional, and ready for immediate use at all times.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of fire prevention and emergency response procedures across the facility.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, drills, incidents, and equipment maintenance checks.
- Coordinate effectively with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Security teams during emergency situations.
- Adhere strictly to all company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), fire safety, and emergency response policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Diploma or Graduate level qualification with certification as a Fire Fighter from the Civil Defense Authority, along with relevant Fire & Safety certifications.
- Experience: Between 2 to 5 years of practical firefighting experience, preferably within manufacturing, chemical, paint, or other industrial environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of firefighting techniques and emergency response procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with various types of fire extinguishers and firefighting systems used in industrial settings.
- Physically fit, disciplined, vigilant, and capable of performing under pressure in emergency situations.
- Willingness and ability to work in shifts, including during emergencies or unscheduled incidents.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Additional certifications in Fire Fighting, Fire Safety, or HSE are highly desirable.
- Previous experience specifically in industrial or chemical manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of fire risk assessment, evacuation procedures, and emergency preparedness enhances candidacy.
- The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs70,000 to Rs80,000.
- The role requires physical presence at the workplace, emphasizing hands-on involvement in safety and emergency management.
