Pakistan Maritime Museum (PMM) is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join their team as a Fireman on a contract/temporary basis. This position is based in Karachi and offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety and operational efficiency of the museum’s facilities. The role requires vigilance, physical fitness, and the ability to respond promptly to emergency situations to ensure the protection of life and property within the museum premises.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain fire safety equipment and systems throughout the museum.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, alarms, hydrants, and other firefighting apparatus to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Respond immediately to fire alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action to control and extinguish fires.
- Assist in the evacuation of visitors and staff during emergencies, ensuring orderly and safe procedures.
- Collaborate with security and maintenance teams to identify potential fire hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of fire safety checks, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in fire drills and safety training sessions as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations and museum policies.

Required Qualifications
- Matriculation or equivalent education is mandatory.
- Prior experience in firefighting or a similar role is preferred to handle emergency situations effectively.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
