Fitter - Contract (Multan)

The Fitter position is a contract role based in Multan, reporting directly to the Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of mechanical fitting tasks, including reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical specifications. This role requires planning and performing fitting, assembly, installation, and adjustment of mechanical components with precision and efficiency. The Fitter will also prepare requests for necessary tools, materials, and consumables, conduct pre-testing and inspection activities, and support the testing and commissioning teams as needed. Adherence to safety regulations and company policies is essential, along with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Plan and execute assigned fitting and mechanical tasks efficiently.
- Perform fitting, assembly, installation, and adjustment of mechanical components.
- Prepare demand requests for required tools, materials, and consumables.
- Conduct pre-testing and inspection activities to ensure quality and compliance.
- Assist the testing and commissioning team when required.
- Use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and work guidelines rigorously.
- Maintain proper housekeeping to ensure a safe and organized working environment.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.

Skills and Competencies

- Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical drawings.
- Strong hands-on technical and fitting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Good problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player.
