The Floor Incharge will oversee daily operations on the production floor at a manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. This role involves supervising production staff, assigning tasks, and monitoring activities to meet daily production targets on time. The individual will work closely with teams from production, bakery/kitchen, quality control, stores, and maintenance to maintain consistent output and uphold product quality.
In addition to managing staff and production schedules, the Floor Incharge will ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards. They will monitor wastage levels and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), while maintaining discipline and safety on the floor. The role also requires managing attendance, shift schedules, and the proper use of raw materials and equipment. Reporting any production issues or operational challenges to management is a key part of the responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage production floor staff and daily operations.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance throughout shifts.
- Ensure daily production targets and schedules are consistently met.
- Monitor product quality, quantity, and production processes to maintain standards.
- Enforce proper hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices on the floor.
- Minimize production wastage and ensure efficient use of raw materials.
- Coordinate effectively with Stores, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other departments.
- Oversee the correct handling and use of machinery, equipment, and production tools.
- Maintain discipline and uphold safety standards among production staff.
- Train and guide new and existing employees as needed.
- Report production issues, shortages, wastage, equipment breakdowns, and other operational matters to management.
- Maintain basic production records and shift reports accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, bakery, sweets production, restaurant production, or FMCG production.
- Experience in a supervisory or team-lead role is preferred.
- Strong staff management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage production targets and multitask effectively during shifts.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, quality control, and production procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work in shifts within a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Supervisory experience within a similar manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000.
