Formatter & Publication Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented eBook Formatter & Publication Executive with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our publishing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing manuscripts for digital publication and overseeing the entire process until the final release on various publishing platforms. This role requires strong technical skills in eBook formatting, excellent coordination with authors and editors, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The position is onsite, based in Shahra e Faisal, with a night/evening shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Format manuscripts into professional-quality eBooks in formats such as EPUB, MOBI, and PDF, adhering strictly to platform-specific guidelines.
- Design and maintain consistent layouts, including tables of contents, chapter formatting, fonts, images, and metadata integration.
- Publish and manage book titles on major platforms like Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Kobo, and Google Play Books.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and resolve errors, formatting inconsistencies, and ensure device compatibility prior to release.
- Collaborate effectively with authors, editors, and designers to ensure timely delivery and meet publishing deadlines.
- Maintain an organized publication tracker that records file versions, ISBNs, pricing details, and release statuses.
- Manage book listings by creating compelling descriptions, selecting appropriate keywords, and categorizing titles accurately.

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in eBook formatting or digital publishing environments.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Adobe InDesign, Calibre, Sigil, Vellum, or similar software.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for editing EPUB files.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple titles simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate smooth coordination across teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with KDP Print, particularly in paperback formatting, is highly desirable.
- Basic skills in Photoshop or Canva for simple cover image adjustments will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Amazon keyword research and category optimization to enhance book discoverability.
- Competitive monthly salary range from Rs 32,000 to Rs 96,000 based on experience and skills.
