As a Sales Engineer at VIDIZMO, you will play a crucial role in transforming product demonstrations into fully functional solutions tailored to the customer's own data, systems, and cameras. Unlike pre-sales engineers who showcase product capabilities, you will ensure the product is successfully deployed during trials and paid pilots, integrating workflows and systems that validate the use case. Your work culminates in delivering a ready-to-use solution to the delivery team once the deal is finalized. This customer-facing position reports directly to Sales and involves close collaboration with account executives, partners, and the pre-sales team. Your success will be measured by the conversion of pilots into closed deals. Note that this role is distinct from product engineering and does not involve ownership of the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in discovery calls to understand customer environments, data, security requirements, and success criteria, translating these into detailed pilot scopes.
- Conduct technical demos using the customer’s actual content and maintain accurate records of demos and pilots within the CRM system.
- Respond to technical inquiries from customers and partners promptly, typically within one business day.
- Contribute to the technical and architectural components of RFPs, bids, and security questionnaires, including compliance frameworks such as CJIS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
- Deploy trial portals and paid pilots across various environments including VIDIZMO SaaS, Azure, AWS, GCP, on-premises, or air-gapped setups.
- Integrate VIDIZMO with customer systems during pilots, supporting SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC, Entra ID, Okta), SCIM provisioning, and connections to Teams, Zoom, LMS, CRM, ServiceNow, and records management systems.
- Develop integrations, scripts, and configurations using REST APIs, webhooks, and connectors to automate workflows such as video ingestion into VIDIZMO Nexus.
- Onboard and configure customer cameras and VMS streams for AI Live Insight, fine-tune detection settings, alert routing, and assess GPU requirements for production environments.
- Create no-code and low-code workflows within AI Intelligence Hub and configure Redactor policies tailored to customer use cases.
- Monitor pilot progress, report weekly updates to customers and internal teams, and proactively resolve any blockers.
- Deliver comprehensive handover documentation to delivery and support teams upon deal closure.
- Develop reusable scripts, templates, and playbooks to streamline future pilots.
- Communicate customer feedback and product gaps to product management with supporting evidence.
- Represent VIDIZMO at customer workshops, trade shows, and on-site pilot engagements as needed.
- Utilize AI tools such as Claude daily for technical research, scripting, documentation, and questionnaire drafting.

- Proficiency in coding with Python, C#/.NET, or JavaScript, and experience building integrations using REST APIs and webhooks.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting solutions on Azure or AWS, as well as on-premises and air-gapped environments, including SSO implementations (SAML, OIDC, Entra ID) and basic networking knowledge.
- Practical understanding of AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), hallucination mitigation, computer vision, and speech-to-text, with familiarity or willingness to learn video technology.
- Awareness of compliance standards including CJIS, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and GDPR.
