Fresh Electrical Draftsman

MEPCorp Consult, a reputable MEP consultancy based in Johar Town, Lahore, is seeking a motivated Fresh Electrical Draftsman to join its engineering team on a full-time basis. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop practical skills in electrical drafting and MEP design. The successful candidate will primarily assist in preparing professional electrical drawings using AutoCAD and collaborate closely with engineers and the design team on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD in line with project requirements and company standards.
- Assist engineers in creating electrical design drawings, including single-line diagrams, lighting layouts, power layouts, and other related documentation.
- Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and client specifications.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, including layers, symbols, dimensions, and annotations to ensure accuracy and neatness.
- Organize and prepare drawing sets for different project phases such as design development, tender, and construction.
- Coordinate effectively with the engineering and drafting teams to meet project deadlines.
- Manage documentation and revision control for all drawings.
- Learn and adhere to relevant electrical and MEP drafting standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical or a relevant technical qualification.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical drafting principles.
- Understanding of electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret electrical layouts and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Familiarity with lighting, power distribution, cable routing, earthing, and other electrical services is advantageous.
- Good grasp of engineering drawings, dimensions, symbols, and drafting best practices.
- Willingness to learn and adopt professional electrical design and drafting standards.
- Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office is a plus.
