Fresh Embedded Firmware Developer

UTF LABS is a technology company specializing in custom IoT and IIoT solutions, mobile and web applications, and AI automation. As part of our team, you will contribute to the full product lifecycle, from prototyping to deployment, working on real-world projects that impact our clients directly.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and debug firmware using C/C++ for microcontrollers such as ESP32, STM32, Arduino, or similar platforms.
- Interface with sensors, displays, and modules via communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and ADC.
- Implement wireless connectivity solutions like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, and MQTT for IoT devices.
- Perform hardware testing and troubleshooting using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Document code thoroughly and collaborate closely with hardware and application development teams.

Required Qualifications
- A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong fundamentals in C/C++ programming and a solid understanding of microcontroller basics.
- Practical project experience with any microcontroller platform, gained through university projects, personal initiatives, or internships.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies.
- Ability to work on-site at our Karachi office.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS, and development environments like PlatformIO or ESP-IDF.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Competence in using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to enhance productivity while maintaining code quality and understanding.
- Basic knowledge of PCB or circuit design.
- A portfolio showcasing projects on platforms like GitHub is highly desirable.
