We are seeking a skilled Frontend 3D Engineer to join our team and create highly interactive, browser-based 3D experiences for our DBS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Three.js, React Three Fiber, Drei, and Next.js, with a focus on interactive 3D visualization, real-time rendering, and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with backend and product teams to transform complex data and workflows into interactive, responsive, and visually accurate 3D web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interactive 3D visualization experiences for web applications.
- Build and maintain 3D interfaces using Three.js, React Three Fiber, and Drei.
- Develop frontend applications with Next.js 14 and React.
- Implement interactive mesh manipulation features such as selection, transformation, highlighting, and user interactions.
- Create real-time visualization logic for products.
- Integrate 3D visualization components with backend APIs and application workflows.
- Optimize browser-based 3D rendering for performance, responsiveness, and smooth interaction.
- Manage 3D assets, including scene management, lighting, cameras, materials, and rendering pipelines.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to WebGL, rendering, memory usage, and complex 3D scenes.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver reliable and polished 3D features.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend and 3D development.
- At least 3 years of experience working with WebGL, Three.js, and React Three Fiber.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with React.js and 2+ years with Next.js, preferably Next.js 14.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Solid understanding of 3D concepts including geometry, meshes, materials, cameras, lighting, animations, and rendering.
- Hands-on experience building interactive 3D features, mesh manipulation, and real-time visualization in the browser.
- Strong knowledge of browser-based 3D performance optimization and WebGL rendering.
- Experience with Drei and modern React Three Fiber development practices.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with real-time visualization or 3D applications is a plus.
- Experience integrating frontend 3D applications with backend APIs is advantageous.
