Located in Hyderabad, this role at EY offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Financial Auditor within the Financial Services Property & Casualty (FS P&C) sector. As part of EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS), you will be involved in client-facing audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and report clearance. This position allows you to identify critical control issues, develop thorough documentation, and manage multiple client relationships. You will collaborate with diverse teams, contributing to EY’s goal of building a better working world through innovative and high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management: Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses and industry trends. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and onshore teams through proactive and clear communication.
Audit Planning and Execution: Design and implement internal audit plans and programs. Define audit scope and objectives by analyzing processes and key controls. Conduct audits across financial, operational, and IT domains, utilizing technology expertise. Engage with management and stakeholders to discuss audit findings.
Risk Assessment and Internal Controls: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks. Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Reporting and Communication: Support the preparation of audit findings and actionable recommendations. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and validate remediation efforts.
Collaboration and Supervision: Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to knowledge sharing within the Professional Services Organization. Mentor junior team members to support their performance and career development.
Operational Excellence: Follow risk management strategies and quality standards within established timelines and budgets. Manage workload efficiently without compromising audit quality.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, preferably with Big 4 public accounting firms. Recent experience in public accounting performing assurance work is essential. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory. Strong knowledge of finance department processes such as account reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting is required, along with familiarity with compliance processes and regulatory requirements.
