EY is seeking a Financial Services Consultant specializing in Financial Auditing to join their Global Delivery Services team in Hyderabad. This client-facing role involves planning and executing audit projects, including fieldwork and report clearance, with a focus on identifying control design and effectiveness issues. Key Responsibilities
- Client Management: Understand clients’ businesses and industry trends. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and onshore teams through proactive communication.
- Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and implement internal audit plans and programs. Define audit scope and objectives by conducting process walkthroughs and identifying key controls. Perform audits across financial, operational, and IT processes, leveraging technology expertise. Discuss audit findings with management and stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment and Internal Controls: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems. Identify weaknesses and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Communication: Assist in preparing audit findings and actionable recommendations. Follow up on audit recommendations to validate remediation efforts.
- Collaboration and Supervision: Participate in cross-functional teams for special projects. Support knowledge sharing within the Professional Services Organization. Mentor and coach junior team members to help them achieve performance goals and career growth.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to risk management strategies and quality guidelines within established timelines and budgets. Manage workload efficiently without compromising standards.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, preferably with Big 4 audit firms.
- Recent public accounting experience performing assurance work.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of finance department processes such as account reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of compliance processes including regulatory requirements.
