Full Stack Developer (Next.js & Node.js)

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with over 4 years of experience, specializing in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js, to take full technical ownership of our e-commerce platform. This is a hands-on role ideal for a self-motivated individual who can independently manage the entire product development lifecycle—from maintaining existing features and resolving production issues to designing new functionalities and integrating third-party services. You will have the autonomy to make architectural decisions, manage deployments, and ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Maintain and enhance the stability, reliability, and functionality of the e-commerce platform.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production bugs and technical issues.
- Refactor code to reduce technical debt and improve code quality.
- Monitor application health and proactively address potential performance or reliability concerns.

Feature Development & Enhancements:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Enhance existing modules and build new components based on business needs.
- Implement core e-commerce features such as product catalogs, shopping carts, checkout, and order management.
- Integrate payment gateways and other third-party services as required.

Performance, Scalability & Reliability:
- Optimize frontend and backend performance for fast load times and smooth user experience.
- Ensure critical user flows like cart, checkout, and payment processing are reliable.
- Improve scalability and stability during high traffic periods.
- Follow best practices for security, error handling, and production monitoring.

Database & API Management:
- Design, maintain, and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Manage integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, inventory systems, and external APIs.
- Develop and maintain robust backend APIs and services.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and secure transaction handling.

Technical Ownership & Deployment:
- Take end-to-end ownership of the platform’s technical architecture, development, and maintenance.
- Make independent decisions on technology choices, architecture, and deployment strategies.
- Manage application deployments, production releases, and ongoing updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve development workflows and system reliability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in full stack web development.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js in production environments.
- Proven experience developing, maintaining, or scaling e-commerce applications.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce workflows including shopping carts, checkout, order processing, and payment integrations.
- Experience integrating payment gateways such as Stripe or similar providers.
- Practical knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with deployment and hosting platforms such as AWS, Vercel, or equivalents.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of REST APIs, third-party integrations, authentication, and web application security.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take responsibility for production systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Skills in optimizing website performance, Core Web Vitals, and database queries.
