Full Stack Engineer

AIZ Business Consulta, a Lisbon-based strategic consultancy serving the European hospitality, real estate, and property management sectors, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer specializing in AI Systems and Automation. This remote, long-term role involves working across multiple active codebases to develop modular systems for repeated deployment across a diverse client base. The position offers a fixed monthly retainer with scope for growth as the partnership evolves. Immediate availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain multi-point API integration middleware that ingests, normalizes, and routes data across heterogeneous third-party platforms, ensuring consistency and fault tolerance.
- Integrate payment and billing systems such as Stripe, GoCardless, and SEPA.
- Automate messaging and communication workflows across email, SMS, and WhatsApp Business API channels.
- Orchestrate scheduling, calendar, and booking systems to streamline client operations.
- Build conversational AI systems with third-party API orchestration, real-time data retrieval, and context-aware response logic.
- Develop LLM-powered endpoints for domain-specific analysis, document generation, and automated classification.
- Implement predictive modeling and statistical analysis pipelines using operational and market data.
- Design autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents for workflow execution.
- Create full-stack web applications using Next.js and TypeScript, incorporating server-side rendering and structured data.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reporting interfaces for operational and financial data.
- Build client-facing portals with authentication and role-based access controls.
- Design internal tooling including MCP server architecture for automated data acquisition, enrichment, and pipeline ingestion.
- Integrate CRM systems and automate pipelines to enhance internal workflows.
- Connect proprietary systems with external SaaS platforms through custom workflow tooling.

Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Next.js / Node.js) and Python.
- Proven production experience with LLM-based applications deployed for real users, beyond prototypes or demos.
- Demonstrated ability to design and maintain multi-point API integrations with critical data consistency and error handling.
- Ability to work independently across multiple deliverables without daily supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with conversational AI or telephony platforms such as Vapi, Bland AI, or Retell AI.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and automation tools like HubSpot, Pipedrive, Make, or n8n.
- Knowledge of web scraping frameworks including Apify, Playwright, or BeautifulSoup.
- Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) server architecture.
- Working knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR), technical SEO principles, and structured data markup.
- Experience with predictive modeling or statistical analysis frameworks such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
- Previous experience working within hospitality, real estate, or property management technology sectors.

This role is compensated via a fixed monthly retainer based on availability and output rather than individual deliverables. The scope and retainer level will be discussed with shortlisted candidates according to experience and alignment with the firm’s needs. The selection process includes a multi-stage evaluation with a technical interview and a hands-on assessment.
