Full Stack Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex features across backend services and web applications.
- Build and maintain reliable, secure REST APIs and webhooks that enterprise customers integrate with, ensuring clear documentation.
- Lead technical integrations from scoping through go-live, collaborating closely with Product, Customer Success, and engineering teams.
- Utilize data and customer feedback to enhance the Burq Dashboard, enabling operators to manage mission-critical deliveries efficiently.
- Take full ownership of production quality, including monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventing recurring issues.
- Elevate team standards through code reviews, technical design contributions, mentoring, and improving engineering, security, and design practices.
- Incorporate AI tools daily to accelerate development, testing, and debugging, embracing an AI-native workflow.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping and owning production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience building web applications using React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
- Solid background designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases and deploying solutions on AWS.
- Skilled in integrating third-party systems and APIs, including handling webhooks, authentication, and failure scenarios gracefully.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset: able to take ambiguous problems through to completion independently and be accountable for outcomes.
- AI-native: actively use AI tools such as Claude or Unblocked in daily workflows and quickly adopt new technologies.
- Clear and effective communicator capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Preferred experience includes working with delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms, as well as familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal or event-driven systems such as Kafka. Knowledge of enterprise integrations and security protocols (SSO, IP allow listing, audit logging) is also advantageous.
