Full Stack Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and deployment of complex backend services and web applications.
- Build and maintain reliable, secure REST APIs and webhooks that enterprise customers integrate with, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Lead end-to-end integrations, collaborating closely with Product, Customer Success, and engineering teams to deliver seamless go-lives.
- Use data and customer feedback to enhance the Burq Dashboard, enabling operators to manage mission-critical deliveries efficiently.
- Take full ownership of production quality by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, diagnosing root causes, and preventing recurrence.
- Elevate team standards through code reviews, technical design contributions, mentoring, and continuous improvement of engineering, security, and design practices.
- Utilize AI tools daily to accelerate development, improve debugging, and solve complex problems proactively.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping and owning production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience building web applications using React or a comparable modern framework.
- Solid background in designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and experienced with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Skilled in integrating third-party systems and APIs, including handling webhooks, authentication, and graceful failure management.
- Demonstrates a strong ownership mindset: independently drives ambiguous problems to completion and is accountable for outcomes beyond just assigned tasks.
- AI-native: actively and fluently incorporates AI tools (such as Claude, Unblocked, etc.) into daily workflows and quickly adapts to new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Temporal) or event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka) is desirable.
- Knowledge of enterprise integrations and security protocols such as SSO, IP allow listing, and audit logging is advantageous.
