Full Stack Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex features across backend services and web applications.
- Build and maintain highly reliable, secure REST APIs and webhooks for enterprise customer integrations, ensuring clear and thorough documentation.
- Lead technical scoping and execution of integrations, collaborating closely with Product, Customer Success, and engineering teams.
- Use data and customer feedback to continuously enhance the Burq Dashboard, enabling operators to manage deliveries efficiently and without friction.
- Take full ownership of production quality, including monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventing recurring issues.
- Elevate team standards through code reviews, technical design contributions, mentoring, and improving engineering, security, and design practices.
- Incorporate AI tools daily to accelerate development, testing, and debugging processes, solving complex problems independently.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping and owning production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience building web applications using React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
- Solid expertise in designing and developing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases and deploying on AWS infrastructure.
- Experience integrating third-party systems and APIs, including handling webhooks, authentication, and graceful failure management.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset: ability to take ambiguous problems through to completion, follow through proactively, and be accountable for outcomes.
- AI-native: proficient in using AI tools such as Claude and Unblocked as an integral part of daily workflow and quick to adopt new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal or event-driven systems such as Kafka.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration and security protocols, including SSO, IP allow listing, and audit logging.
