Full Stack Engineer - Lv 4 / Java + JavaScript

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer based in Colombia with extensive experience in building scalable enterprise applications using modern Java and JavaScript technologies. This role is well-suited for engineers who excel in collaborative, fast-paced settings and are passionate about solving complex operational and logistics challenges through innovative software solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with US-based engineering teams, product managers, business stakeholders, and global contractors to design, develop, and maintain critical systems in logistics and inventory management, focusing on areas such as Outbound Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Inventory Adjustments, and Inventory Counting. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency and deliver user-friendly software that improves the daily experience of store employees.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications leveraging Java, JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Build reusable frontend components ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and seamless user experience across platforms.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and integrations that support enterprise logistics and inventory workflows.
- Write automated tests, troubleshoot defects, and optimize application reliability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering peers, product managers, QA teams, and business stakeholders within Agile development frameworks.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives while promoting engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and advocate for code quality, testing, and sound software design principles.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools like New Relic and Splunk.
- Support containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures on AWS and GCP.
- Work with Kafka and event-driven architectures to enable real-time data streaming and distributed communication.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to enhance development speed and operational stability.
- Lead platform upgrades, infrastructure migrations, and modernization efforts with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security, networking, and operational best practices to maintain system reliability.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript development.
- Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development methodologies.
- Proven experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database systems.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot and backend service development.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application deployment strategies.
- Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming and messaging technologies.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like New Relic and Splunk.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of Node.js, NPM, and modern JavaScript tooling ecosystems.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
