This is an on-site, full-time position based in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, offering a competitive monthly salary of PKR 100,000 to 125,000. The working hours are from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Monday through Saturday. Immediate joining is required, and remote work is not available. Candidates must have hands-on experience building real, production-ready applications—not just tutorials or demo projects—and be able to demonstrate and discuss the architecture and code of projects they have personally contributed to.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade AI agents and automation workflows using Node.js, TypeScript, and React/Next.js.
- Design, implement, and manage backend services with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and background job processing tools such as BullMQ or SQS.
- Build and integrate REST APIs and webhooks to support multi-step AI workflows and tool/function calling mechanisms.
- Work with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and large language model (LLM) integrations including OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini.
- Develop long-running asynchronous workflows with robust queue, worker, retry, and failure recovery systems ensuring idempotency and persistent workflow state.
- Take ownership of the full software lifecycle including architecture design, development, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the team on third-party API integrations, containerization using Docker, Linux environments, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience building and deploying real-world production applications involving AI agents and automation.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React.js, and Next.js frameworks.
- Solid understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, as well as caching and messaging systems like Redis and BullMQ/SQS.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, queues, workers, and managing long-running workflows with failure recovery.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and integration of large language models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini).
- Ability to explain and demonstrate the architecture and code of personal projects you have contributed to.
- Comfortable working onsite in Karachi with immediate availability or within 1–2 days of joining.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of Docker, Linux, and CI/CD tools to streamline deployment and operational workflows.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI automation projects in a dynamic environment.
- Competitive salary package with a structured six-day workweek and fixed night shift hours.
Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they meet all the above criteria and can provide a CV along with links or references to live applications or projects they have personally worked on. This ensures a mutual fit and saves time for both parties. Immediate joining is mandatory, and remote work options are not available for this role.
