Full Stack Python Developer

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Python Developer / Python Engineer to join our DBS team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in developing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting production-grade applications. This role involves working across backend development, frontend integration, databases, background processing, servers, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD environments. The successful candidate will ensure that applications are reliable, scalable, secure, and performant. Comfort with live production systems and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve issues across application, database, server, and deployment layers is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance production-grade applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications.
- Implement and manage asynchronous/background processing with Celery and RabbitMQ.
- Configure and manage queues, routing, workers, retries, and background jobs in production environments.
- Develop and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL.
- Perform database backups, restores, troubleshooting, and performance investigations.
- Manage and troubleshoot applications running on Linux servers.
- Configure and maintain systemd, Nginx, Gunicorn, permissions, and application/server logs.
- Deploy and manage applications and infrastructure on AWS EC2, RDS, and S3.
- Maintain and troubleshoot DEV, STAGING, and PROD environments.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI.
- Manage environment-specific configurations, secrets, and deployment settings.
- Work with Docker, Conda, background workers, and process orchestration.
- Monitor application and infrastructure issues, performing root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with development and technical teams to ensure reliable application delivery and production operations.
- Support ongoing maintenance, optimization, and scalability of the DBS system.

Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Full Stack Python development.
- Strong production experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Hands-on experience with Celery and RabbitMQ, including managing queues, workers, routing, retries, and production operations.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL, including backups, restores, AWS RDS, and troubleshooting using tools like pgAdmin.
- Solid knowledge of Linux server administration, including systemd, permissions, Nginx, Gunicorn, and log management.
- Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and S3.
- Familiarity with CircleCI, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and secrets/configuration management.
- Experience managing DEV, STAGING, and PROD environments.
- Practical knowledge of Docker, Conda, background workers, and process orchestration.
- Good understanding of frontend development and backend API integration.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application, database, server, and deployment layers.
- Ability to independently maintain and troubleshoot live production systems.
