The Fundraising Officer will play a vital role in supporting the organization’s resource mobilization and fundraising efforts. This position involves identifying funding opportunities, cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and partners, planning and executing fundraising campaigns, managing donor information, and assisting with business development initiatives. The role is essential in securing both financial and strategic support for the organization’s programs while ensuring sustainable engagement with donors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Resource Mobilization:
Identify and explore new fundraising and business development opportunities across NGO, development, and corporate sectors. Conduct thorough research to pinpoint potential donors, funding agencies, corporate partners, and foundations. Support the preparation of concept notes, proposals, presentations, and funding applications. Maintain a pipeline of potential donors and funding opportunities, and assist in developing strategies to diversify funding sources. Contribute to building strategic partnerships with national and international organizations.

Donor Relationship Management:
Build and maintain professional, long-term relationships with existing and prospective donors. Ensure consistent communication and engagement with donors and funding partners. Coordinate donor meetings, presentations, visits, and engagement sessions. Oversee the proper acknowledgment and appreciation of donor contributions to foster ongoing support.

Data Management and Strategic Analysis:
Develop and maintain an accurate database of donors, partners, funding opportunities, and contributions. Prepare regular reports on fundraising performance, donor engagement, funding pipelines, and campaign outcomes. Analyze trends to identify opportunities for improving fundraising strategies. Maintain precise records of donor contributions and commitments, ensuring confidentiality and proper management of sensitive information. Use data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and resource mobilization planning.

Fundraising Planning and Execution:
Assist in developing annual and quarterly fundraising plans aligned with organizational objectives. Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising activities and campaigns effectively. Support the organization of fundraising events, donor meetings, awareness sessions, and engagement activities. Prepare activity reports and evaluate the success of fundraising campaigns, identifying challenges and recommending improvements for future initiatives.

Outreach and Donor Engagement Campaigns:
Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness about the organization and its programs. Support the design and execution of donor acquisition and engagement campaigns using various communication channels such as digital platforms, social media, corporate outreach, and events. Create campaigns that highlight organizational achievements, program impact, and beneficiary stories to engage potential donors.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
