Jeff’s Furniture is looking for an experienced Factory Operations Manager to lead and manage all aspects of its furniture manufacturing operations in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hands-on factory management within the furniture industry, overseeing the entire production workflow from order processing through to dispatch. This role requires ensuring that all orders are completed on time, within budget, and meet the company’s quality standards. The Operations Manager will work closely with various departments, including carpentry, metal fabrication, upholstery, finishing, and quality control, to maintain smooth and efficient factory operations.

- Coordinate production activities across multiple departments such as Carpentry/Wood, Metal, Upholstery, Stitching, Foam, Polishing/Finishing, Stone, Assembly, Quality Control, Packing, and Dispatch.
- Ensure all drawings, dimensions, materials, finishes, and specifications are complete and accurate before production begins.
- Oversee preparation of material requirements and Bills of Materials (BOM), ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, quotations, inventory control, and material issuance.
- Monitor daily production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to avoid delays.
- Establish and enforce quality checks throughout manufacturing, ensuring final quality control before dispatch.
- Monitor workforce productivity, attendance, and maintain factory discipline.
- Control material wastage, rework, overtime, and unnecessary production costs.
- Ensure all production and delivery deadlines are met as committed.
- Provide regular reports to management on production status, delays, procurement issues, quality concerns, and upcoming deliveries.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in furniture manufacturing or factory operations with supervisory or management responsibilities.

- Strong practical knowledge of woodwork, carpentry, furniture construction, upholstery, metal fabrication, polishing/finishing, hardware, foam, fabrics, and other furniture materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of the furniture manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products.
- Ability to interpret furniture drawings, dimensions, specifications, and production requirements accurately.
- Experience managing craftsmen, department supervisors, procurement teams, and vendor relationships.
- Strong skills in production planning, problem-solving, and managing deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with production tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- This role demands a hands-on professional comfortable working directly on the factory floor rather than a general administrative manager.
- The successful candidate will be adept at identifying production issues, coordinating multiple departments, and ensuring smooth workflow from order approval to final delivery.
- Core mission: Deliver the right furniture, at the right quality, within the committed timeline and approved cost.
- Monthly salary range: Rs 90,000 to Rs 100,000.
- Work location is on-site in Karachi.
