GC Estimator (US Estimation)

Located in Faisal Town, Lahore, this full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity for a General Contractor (GC) Estimator specializing in US construction projects. The role requires a minimum of two years’ hands-on experience in US construction estimating, with a strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings. The successful candidate will be adept at preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, identifying scope discrepancies, and working with both traditional and technology-assisted estimating methods. The shift timing is from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (PKT), providing a dynamic work schedule focused on US construction standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Review multidisciplinary construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and related documents including architectural, structural, MEP, and civil plans.
- Prepare precise material and quantity takeoffs for residential and commercial construction projects in the US market.
- Identify missing scope items, drawing inconsistencies, duplicate quantities, and potential estimation errors.
- Validate and review existing estimates and takeoffs for accuracy, completeness, and consistency in measurements.
- Utilize digital estimating software to perform area, length, volume, and count measurements efficiently.
- Organize construction scopes and quantities according to trade and CSI MasterFormat divisions.
- Analyze outputs from technology-assisted estimating tools, detect inaccuracies, and document necessary corrections.
- Compile clear quality assurance reports that highlight discrepancies, assumptions, and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and US-based construction professionals to clarify and confirm project requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in US construction estimating or quantity takeoffs is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of US construction methods, materials, and estimating best practices.
- Ability to independently read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with confidence.
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software such as Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, STACK, or equivalents.
- Experience in identifying missing scope, incorrect quantities, and drawing discrepancies.
- Familiarity with construction trades, measurement units, and quantity takeoff methodologies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Good command of written and verbal English communication.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat divisions and construction pricing standards such as RSMeans.
- Experience reviewing and auditing estimates prepared by other estimators.
