GCP Data Engineer

The role focuses on interpreting data and transforming it into actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations. These insights are designed to improve business processes and influence strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring that the information provided drives efficiency and supports business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the technical scope of projects throughout all phases by gathering data from warehouses, databases, and integration models, and interpreting patterns and trends.
- Develop and implement record management processes and policies to ensure data integrity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at various levels to understand and meet their requirements effectively.
- Provide clients with sales data, proposals, data insights, and account reviews to support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automate processes, including setting up and maintaining automated data workflows.
- Evaluate and implement external tools and services for data validation and cleansing to maintain high data quality.
- Produce and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
- Analyze complex datasets, liaise with clients to understand data content, and design surveys as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for both internal and external stakeholders using advanced business analytics tools.
- Create data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations that highlight business performance, including sector and competitor benchmarking.
- Mine large datasets, draw meaningful conclusions, and present findings effectively to management.
- Develop predictive models and share insights tailored to client requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Strong skills in data integration, modeling, and automation of data processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing data validation and cleansing techniques.
- Experience in developing dashboards and reports using business analytics tools.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
