Based in Hyderabad, this Senior Manager role within EY GDS Assurance Digital focuses on advancing AI governance initiatives to support global clients. The position combines technical expertise and business development skills to drive innovative AI solutions that align with EY’s commitment to responsible and ethical AI use. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop analytics-enabled products, integrating data science with business insights to address complex challenges. This role plays a key part in EY’s innovation agenda by applying AI techniques to real-world business problems while ensuring governance, compliance, and risk management standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AI governance initiatives, including Responsible AI model governance, explainability, transparency, fairness, accountability, and ongoing monitoring.
- Define governance controls for emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, risk, compliance, legal, and security functions to establish governance requirements for data and AI projects.
- Design and implement data quality frameworks, controls, scorecards, and remediation processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements by working closely with data, analytics, and AI teams.
- Conduct governance maturity assessments and develop roadmaps for continuous improvement.
- Support audit, risk, and regulatory compliance activities related to data and AI systems.
- Develop governance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting for leadership teams.
- Lead governance councils, working groups, and stakeholder forums.
- Build and mentor high-performing governance teams while promoting governance best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 12 to 17 years of experience in AI governance initiatives, including enterprise-wide governance programs and operating models.
- Proven expertise in Responsible AI frameworks, AI risk management, and model governance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as DPDPA, model risk management, and internal audit requirements.
- Solid understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with OpenAI and Azure OpenAI services, model evaluation and monitoring, as well as AI security and governance controls.
