GEN AI Engineer

We are seeking a skilled GenAI Engineer to join our team onsite in DHA Phase 3, Lahore. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building and optimizing AI-driven systems while automating the entire software development lifecycle. This position involves translating client requirements into structured workflows and enabling intelligent automation across development, quality assurance, and deployment processes. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a competitive monthly salary range of PKR 200,000 to 300,000.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead GenAI initiatives by organizing, testing, and enhancing AI-driven systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop evaluation frameworks to assess and continuously improve AI model accuracy and reliability.
- Research and integrate cutting-edge open-source AI models to advance system capabilities.
- Create AI-powered automation tools that convert client requirements into epics, tasks, and workflows efficiently.
- Automate effort estimation, task breakdown, and intelligent task assignment across cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines and integration architectures to enhance system performance and reduce latency.
- Develop and deploy production-grade AI solutions that align with business needs.
- Work extensively with large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and implement hallucination detection mechanisms to ensure AI reliability.
- Integrate AI systems with existing technology stacks, including Java backend, JavaScript MUI frontend, MongoDB, MySQL, and cloud deployment environments.
- Ensure seamless automation throughout the software development lifecycle, covering QA, staging, and deployment phases.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Sciences or a related field from a reputable university.
- 4 to 6+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering, with at least 2 to 3 years focused on AI/ML.
- Strong expertise in data processing, structuring, and visualization techniques.
- Proven experience in predictive modeling and AI system design.
- Proficiency in Python programming; knowledge of .NET is considered an advantage.
- Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Practical experience working with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering methodologies.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Chroma, Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector.
- Ability to debug complex, non-deterministic AI systems and implement AI evaluation frameworks.
- Experience in deploying AI solutions in production environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, ownership mentality, and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of end-to-end workflows and automate complex processes using AI.
- Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments where bridging AI systems with real-world engineering workflows is essential.
- Willingness to work onsite during specified hours at the Lahore office.
