Gensets Mechanic (Male)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Generator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring of industrial diesel generators to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. This role requires hands-on expertise in diagnosing generator issues, conducting timely repairs, and maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities. The position is full-time and based in Lahore, with candidates expected to reliably commute or relocate before starting work.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring of diesel generators.
- Diagnose generator problems accurately and repair or replace defective components as necessary.
- Conduct emergency repairs to diesel generators, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and availability.
- Monitor generator performance continuously and report any abnormalities or signs of potential breakdowns.
- Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replaced parts to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical from a recognized technical institute.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience with industrial diesel generators (Gensets).
- Strong practical knowledge of diesel generator mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Proven ability to respond effectively to emergency breakdowns and perform timely, efficient repairs.
- Experience in preventative generator maintenance for at least 5 years.
- At least 3 years of experience in genset maintenance and overhauling.
- Fluency in Urdu is preferred to facilitate clear communication within the team.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates with 3 or more years of direct experience working with diesel generators will be given preference.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs55,000 to Rs70,000.
- Work location is in person, based in Lahore, requiring reliable commuting or relocation prior to joining.
