We are currently seeking a Global Media & Communications Assistant to join our Communications Support department at headquarters. This role supports the Global Communications team by managing media content, ensuring consistent branding, and facilitating smooth communications across international projects. Reporting to the Media Desk/Communications Executive, the assistant will review and organise media materials, maintain project and content trackers, prepare presentations, coordinate meeting documentation, and provide technical support for media management platforms. The position requires close collaboration with global and regional teams to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality communications aligned with Human Appeal’s policies and standards. Please note, only candidates based in Pakistan will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure correct usage of Human Appeal branding and banners across all projects, coordinating timely distribution to stakeholders in partnership with the Media Desk Lead.
- Review media materials uploaded to the server, verifying accurate tagging, translations, and detailed captions in line with organisational standards.
- Upload media content to the server as required.
- Take detailed minutes during Global Communications and regional team meetings.
- Prepare presentations for weekly global communications meetings.
- Maintain and update the project and content tracker daily to ensure accurate records of communications activities.
- Create user accounts for new Mediafly/RS platform users and provide training on tool usage in coordination with the Media Desk Lead.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department’s objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in media studies, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all assignments.
- Familiarity with content management systems is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- A Master’s degree in a related field such as International Development is an advantage.
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu, or French is desirable.
- Understanding of branding and visual identity guidelines is preferred.
