We are currently seeking a Global Media & Communications Assistant to join our Communications Support department at headquarters. This role supports the Global Communications team by managing media content, ensuring consistent branding, and facilitating smooth communications across global projects. Reporting to the Media Desk/Communications Executive, the assistant will review and organise media materials, maintain project and content trackers, prepare presentations, coordinate meeting documentation, and provide technical support for media management platforms. Collaboration with global and regional teams is essential to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality communications aligned with Human Appeal’s policies and standards. Please note that only Pakistani candidates will be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Content Management & Visibility:
- Ensure correct usage of Human Appeal branding and banners across all projects. Coordinate with the Media Desk Lead to distribute banners promptly after design completion.
- Review media materials uploaded to the server, verifying accurate tagging, translations, and detailed captions in accordance with organisational standards.
- Upload media content to the server as required.
Communications Support:
- Take detailed meeting minutes during Global Communications and regional team meetings.
- Prepare presentations for weekly global communications meetings.
- Maintain and update the project and content tracker daily to ensure accurate records of communications activities.
- Create user accounts for new Mediafly/RS users and provide thorough briefings on tool usage in coordination with the Media Desk Lead.
Employee duties may extend beyond these responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in media studies, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, and familiarity with content management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate across departments.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- A Master’s degree in a related field such as International Development is advantageous.
- Knowledge of additional languages like Arabic, Urdu, or French is desirable.
- Understanding of branding and visual identity guidelines is preferred.
