Guest Operations Assistant

We are seeking a reliable Guest Operations Assistant to support short-term rental operations remotely from Pakistan. This role involves working closely with the management to ensure smooth communication with guests and efficient handling of daily tasks related to Airbnb and other short-term rental platforms. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently during the evening shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest messages and booking inquiries, following property instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor arrivals, departures, access instructions, and address any outstanding guest requests.
- Coordinate with cleaning, maintenance, and local property teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Track and resolve issues through to completion, escalating urgent matters as necessary.
- Maintain accurate calendars, task records, and shift handover documentation.
- Assist with updating property listings, verifying bookings, and performing other daily administrative tasks.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to draft replies, conduct research, and organize work efficiently, while carefully verifying all AI-generated content.

Required Qualifications
- Strong written English skills and confident communication abilities.
- Practical experience using AI tools quickly and effectively, with the ability to critically assess AI outputs rather than relying on them blindly.
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership over assigned tasks.
- Availability and responsiveness throughout the agreed shift hours (5 PM to 2 AM Pakistan time, six days per week with a one-hour break).
- Access to a personal laptop, stable internet connection, and backup power or internet solutions to ensure uninterrupted work.
- Respect for guest privacy and strict adherence to confidentiality, especially regarding the use of AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in Airbnb, hospitality, or customer support roles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with property management systems such as Hostaway, Guesty, or Hospitable is a plus.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 40,000 to 80,000, based on relevant experience and demonstrated ability.
- Flexible weekly day off, agreed upon in advance.
