We are seeking a qualified and experienced medical professional to join our team in a clinical role based at a tertiary care hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management, along with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families. This position involves direct patient care, documentation, and adherence to hospital protocols, with opportunities to supervise and mentor postgraduate trainees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients during clinic visits, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting investigations, diagnosing, and treating common medical conditions.
- Accurately document all patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and clinical findings in a timely and thorough manner.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medical advice.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and ensure proper follow-up care is arranged.
- Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures, treatment adherence, and strategies to minimize the risk of disease recurrence.
- Maintain current knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, ensuring strict compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
- Uphold professional standards in patient care, confidentiality, and medical ethics at all times.
- Where applicable, supervise and mentor postgraduate trainees, supporting their clinical education and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification such as FCPS, MRCOG, or FRCOG.
- Valid registration or license with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably within a tertiary care hospital setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with supervisory or teaching experience will be given preference.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring postgraduate trainees is considered an advantage.
Work Location
