Haier Associate Quality Engineer Lahore

Haier, a globally recognized home appliances brand, is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer – P1 to join its facility located on Raiwind Road, Lahore, Pakistan. This role is ideal for engineering professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC), preferably within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining product quality standards by inspecting components and finished products, investigating defects, minimizing rejection and rework costs, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect components, semi-finished, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and approved work instructions.
- Verify products against first-sample approvals and identify any deviations early to prevent defective items from progressing through production.
- Monitor rejection and rework levels, analyze recurring defects, and determine whether issues originate from production processes or suppliers.
- Coordinate timely corrective actions with relevant teams to reduce quality-related losses and improve production efficiency.
- Ensure inspection activities are performed according to procedures, support the implementation of engineering or quality-change documentation (ECNS), and verify calibration of measuring tools and gauges.
- Conduct daily finished-goods audits and weekly BRD audits to identify finishing defects and investigate quality concerns.
- Address product finishing issues and market complaints by collaborating with production and other departments to resolve defects and prevent recurrence.
- Support continuous quality improvement by identifying process enhancements, investigating root causes of defects, monitoring corrective action effectiveness, maintaining quality records, and assisting with audits.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Management.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing or home appliances environment.
- Strong knowledge of product inspection procedures, quality standards, rejection and rework control, root cause analysis, quality improvement tools, calibration of inspection equipment, routine product testing, and ISO compliance.
- Demonstrated ability in defect investigation, corrective and preventive actions, and supplier quality issue management.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
