Location: Islamabad (on-site, with occasional field visits)
Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–5 years
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of industrial electronic devices. This role involves close collaboration with mechatronics and software teams, taking projects from schematic design through to fully tested products in the field. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in both circuit and PCB design, with a strong focus on reliability and performance in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design circuits and multi-layer PCBs (2–4 layers) using tools such as KiCad or Altium, focusing on sensor interfaces, precision measurement, and microcontroller boards (ESP32 / STM32).
- Develop 12/24 V DC power stages incorporating surge protection, reverse-polarity safeguards, and fuses.
- Integrate a variety of sensors and communication interfaces including UART, RS-485/Modbus, I2C, SPI, and Wi-Fi.
- Design control panels for motors, pumps, and valves, incorporating relays, contactors, and overload protection mechanisms.
- Prototype, solder, test, and thoroughly document schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and test reports.
- Select appropriate IP65/IP67 rated enclosures and source components that are readily available locally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in circuit and PCB design, supported by a portfolio of completed board designs.
- Strong fundamentals in analog and power electronics.
- Proven experience with precision analog sensing, signal conditioning, and sensor calibration.
- Practical knowledge of designing for outdoor and harsh environments, including considerations for temperature extremes, vibration, moisture, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters, along with SMD soldering skills. Ability to analyze and characterize undocumented devices is essential.
- Understanding of safe AC switching and panel wiring practices.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in robotics, including motor drivers, encoders, and sensor feedback systems, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with IoT technologies such as MQTT, cloud dashboards, and over-the-air (OTA) updates is a plus.
Our selection process is highly competitive. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. We offer a highly competitive salary and an exemplary work environment that fosters professional growth and innovation.
To apply, please submit your CV along with photos or files of PCBs you have designed.
Best of luck with your application!
