Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to join our team in Balochistan, responsible for maintaining and supporting computer hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience and a strong technical background in computer science or related fields. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, deploying new equipment and software, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT operations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and user support are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues reported by users via help desk tickets, emails, or phone calls.
- Set up, configure, and deploy new computers, peripheral devices, operating systems, and authorized software applications for employees.
- Perform routine system maintenance, including installing security patches, updating software, and verifying automated backup systems are functioning correctly.
- Educate staff on basic technical procedures, develop clear self-help documentation, and guide users on cybersecurity best practices.
- Manage user accounts by creating, modifying, and deactivating accounts, passwords, and data permissions within active directories and network systems.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Assistant Director or Director as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a 2nd Class Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Alternatively, a 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineering in Computer Hardware is acceptable.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Age limit: Maximum 35 years, considering general age relaxation and regional allowances for Balochistan.
- Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, software installation, network management, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Candidates holding degrees such as BE Computer Science, BE Information Technology, BE Computer Systems Engineering, BE Software Engineering, BSc Computer Systems Engineering, BA Information Technology, BE Network Engineering, BE Computer Engineering, or BE Systems Engineering will be preferred.
