Hardware Engineer

Azimut, a sister company of Wavetec, is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join its team in Karachi. This role involves managing and supporting hardware and software systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and coordination with vendors to maintain high standards of hardware performance and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate troubleshooting, installation, repair, problem diagnosis, and implementation of computer hardware and software.
- Assist in managing requests and inquiries related to computing, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and host system communications by receiving, screening, prioritizing, and resolving issues.
- Handle calls for assistance, installations, and general maintenance; log calls and take appropriate actions to ensure timely and satisfactory responses for users. Provide management with status reports on all requests.
- Install, test, and maintain various personal computing and network hardware and software systems. Perform diagnostic tests and modify or repair hardware at the board or component level. Collect and record relevant data related to these activities.
- Support the recommendation process for computing hardware, software systems, and host system data communication requirements.
- Liaise with vendors to establish and maintain sources for hardware systems, components, parts, and peripheral devices. Manage problem resolution, training, and in-service programs related to hardware systems.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hardware engineering, including troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of computing and network hardware.
- Strong understanding of local and wide area networks, host system communications, and related technologies.
- Ability to perform diagnostic tests and hardware repairs at the component level.
- Experience in managing service requests and providing timely support to end-users.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
