Lokal is transforming the hospitality landscape in Pakistan by managing over 500 keys across nine cities through standardized, technology-driven serviced apartments and short-term rentals tailored for both business and leisure travelers. Our unique model combines operations, technology, data, and hospitality processes to ensure a consistent and high-quality guest experience at scale. As we continue to grow, we are focused on building a strong central operations team that will enhance rigor, governance, and efficiency throughout our expanding network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the growth plan, determining which cities, hotels, and owners to prioritize and in what sequence.
- Build and lead a small business development team, including an analyst positioned in each city to support local efforts.
- Manage the entire deal-making process from initial meetings to signed contracts, covering fees, upgrade funding, and contract terms.
- Conduct thorough screening of hotels to distinguish between management issues and location challenges before committing.
- Collaborate closely with hotel owners, investors, and capital expenditure funding partners to secure financing for necessary upgrades.
- Oversee the smooth handover of each signed hotel to operations and design teams to ensure successful openings.
- Monitor and report on keys signed and deal quality directly to the founders and the board.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in hotel development, hotel investment, commercial real estate, or corporate development, with a proven track record of leading deals independently.
- Established network of hotel owners, developers, or real estate families across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad (KLI).
- Ability to build and defend detailed hotel feasibility cases, including metrics such as RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), GOP (Gross Operating Profit), payback periods, and owner returns.
- Experience negotiating management, lease, or partnership agreements, with a strong understanding of critical contractual clauses.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships even when negotiating with difficult owners.
- Experience in building or leading teams, or a readiness to take on such leadership responsibilities.
