The Head of Medical Services is a full-time, on-site position based at Islamabad Hospital, responsible for the overall management and enhancement of medical services. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, establishing and maintaining service standards, and working closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The individual will lead and mentor medical and support staff, manage budgets and resource allocation, and track performance metrics to align with the hospital’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of medical services within the hospital.
- Manage clinical operations to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Set and enforce service standards that meet or exceed regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop medical and support teams to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to drive improvements and meet organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Optimize operational processes to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives aimed at growth and operational excellence.
- Analyze market trends and establish strategic partnerships to expand services and increase revenue.
- Promote patient-centered care and upgrade services to align with international healthcare standards.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS or MPH degree, or a higher qualification in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, particularly in hospital administration.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans focused on growth, efficiency, and accountability.
- Experience in overseeing financial performance, including revenue generation and cost management.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting patient-centered care and elevating service quality to international benchmarks.
