Head of Training And Development

HDDP Consultants is recruiting on behalf of a client for the position of Head – Training & Development based in Islamabad. This senior management role requires a seasoned Learning & Development professional to lead the organization’s training function. The successful candidate will be responsible for building employee capabilities, driving performance improvements, and developing scalable learning solutions across various business units. This role demands strategic oversight of training programs, management of digital learning platforms, and collaboration with key stakeholders to close capability gaps.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across departments and business units to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
- Design and deliver a variety of training programs including induction, technical skills, soft skills, and leadership development.
- Establish and manage a Training Academy framework to support continuous learning initiatives.
- Oversee Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and digital content development.
- Create training materials such as manuals, case studies, and assessments to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Measure training impact through ROI analysis and performance tracking to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with HR, department heads, and business leaders to address organizational capability gaps.
- Manage relationships with external training vendors, institutes, and certification bodies.
- Develop targeted leadership and high-potential employee development programs.
- Oversee T&D budgets, training calendars, and resource allocation efficiently.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching across the organization.
- Present learning metrics and T&D performance reports to senior leadership for informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Training, or related HR functions.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within Learning & Development.
- Experience working in a large organization or training academy environment is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- Professional certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance), CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), ATD (Association for Talent Development), or equivalent are strongly preferred.
