Healthcare Data & Integration Developer (Raintree / SQL)

Xerosum is seeking a skilled developer to join a US healthcare client’s technology team. This role involves working closely with the client on generating reports, extracting data, and integrating systems. Over time, the developer will also gain experience working within Raintree, a practice management and electronic health record (EHR) platform. The position requires hands-on collaboration with the client’s technical staff and adherence to healthcare data privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL reports and data extracts to support business needs.
- Build and maintain REST/JSON API integrations, including internal web API endpoints, RingCentral, SFTP data feeds, and payment processor connections.
- Learn and apply Raintree’s proprietary scripting language (RSL) for system customization and automation.
- Utilize Git for version control and participate in regular code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Manage patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring data security and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including experience with indexing, query plans, and performance tuning to optimize database operations.
- Demonstrated experience in building and consuming REST/JSON APIs for system integration.
- Proven ability to quickly learn proprietary or niche programming languages on the job, such as Progress/OpenEdge 4GL, MUMPS/Caché (used in Epic or Meditech), NetSuite SuiteScript, Salesforce Apex, Dynamics/AL, or other in-house scripting languages.
- Experience working with protected health information (PHI) within a HIPAA-regulated environment.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- Comfortable working with Git and participating in collaborative code review workflows.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Raintree, either as a former employee or as a developer supporting a Raintree-based clinic.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including CPT/ICD-10 coding, modifiers, authorizations, payer rules, and X12 transaction sets (837, 835, 270, 271).
- Familiarity with outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation workflows, including plans of care, visit limits, and therapy billing rules.
- PHP programming experience is a plus.

Additional Information
This is an in-person role requiring availability during US Eastern business hours. Candidates will be asked to answer application questions regarding their SQL proficiency, experience with Raintree, familiarity with proprietary languages, handling of PHI under HIPAA, and availability to work during specified hours.
