Based in Pakistan and working UK business hours, this full-time role offers a unique opportunity to join Global Teams, part of the Smail Group. Global Teams is a dynamic recruitment and business support company focused on connecting talented professionals in Pakistan with UK businesses. Unlike traditional recruitment firms, we combine recruitment with training, business support, and consultancy to help UK companies build strong remote teams. As we expand, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR & Business Operations Manager to help shape our HR function and support business growth across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of Global Teams, working closely with leadership to drive business development.
- Understand client staffing needs and lead recruitment from initial requirement through placement, including candidate coordination, interviews, assessments, and onboarding.
- Develop and refine recruitment processes and collaborate with the Global Teams Academy on candidate training and assessment.
- Monitor placements and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to support scalable growth.
- Support business development initiatives and new client opportunities as needed.
- Take ownership of building a professional HR function across the group by creating and implementing HR policies, procedures, and SOPs from scratch.
- Develop employee handbooks, onboarding/offboarding processes, probation, appraisal, and performance review systems.
- Establish clear processes for leave, attendance, absence, and employee records management.
- Support payroll functions and maintain accurate employee information.
- Assist managers with employee-related matters and help define job descriptions, responsibilities, and reporting structures.
- Foster a consistent approach to employee performance, development, and company culture.
- Continuously identify gaps in HR processes and implement scalable improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in HR, recruitment, or people management roles with a solid understanding of HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to create HR policies, procedures, and SOPs from the ground up.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence working with UK-based clients and senior management.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively identify what needs to be done.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how HR supports business growth.
- Confidence to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.
